The Whole World in One Nursery!

In nursery this week, all the children having been intrigued by different countries. They have been learning all about the different nationalities of the children in nursery.

Each of them have coloured in a flag of their nationality (ies) and they put them up on the wall to represent their home nation. They were trying to find countries on the map. Most of the children did this successfully but others pointed at completely different countries!

They have also been eating a large variety of healthy fruits from around the world, e.g. Sharon fruit, papayas, kiwis, pineapple, melon, oranges, apples, pears and bananas. They all tried the fruits and loved them unconditionally which made them eager to learn all about them and the country they came from.

In addition, they brought in, from home, coins from their culture such as Latvia or India. They shared their array of different banknotes and coins. If you get a chance you can look at their spectacular display called, ‘All Around The World’.

Although it was a busy week, they can’t wait to see what’s in store for next week!
