Are you having as much fun as the Foundation?

This week the children have been doing Christmassy things!
One of the activities that the children have been enjoying is decorating lovely Christmas trees. The equipment which they have been using to make these splendid trees is green card which has been drawn to be a Christmas tree. Also they used perfect paints in lots of different colours which are vibrant red, euphoric yellow, bright blue and grassy green. To make the trees they used cotton buds and dipped it in to the colourful paints! Then they printed the little end of the cotton bud to make a dotted pattern that looks like brilliant baubles.
Also, they made their own card Rudolf and his nose was as red as a fresh tomato. They used white card and red pom-poms for the nose. First they coloured the card any colour that you could think of. Then they stuck on their very own Rudolf nose- nearly as bright as the real one!
Candy canes have been made by the children and I know what you’re thinking: they are not the ones you can eat- they are even better! They cleverly used marbles dipped in paint and rolled them round the tray with the card carefully underneath to make this marble pattern.
The foundation stage performed a nativity to our school and we were all amazed of how good it was. It must have taken a long time to learn all of their lines and then rehearse the play. Foundation stage has been having a really good time this week and we hope you have too!

If you want to see pictures of the nativity, please look at the KS1 site.
